We are excited to announce that we will be changing our pharmacy management software to PioneerRx in April 2025. Independent pharmacies are facing a rapidly changing landscape, and PioneerRx aims to provide software designed to stay ahead of the curve. Our decision is motivated by our desire to ensure that all our patients health and medication management are out top priority.
Some of the new features coming with PioneerRx:
- RxLocal mobile app for medication management, education and prescription refill options
- 2-way HIPAA Secure text messaging for everyday communication and prescription refill notifications
- Auto Refill program
- Medsync program
- Cash Discount Card program
- QR codes on prescription bottle labels for medication education instead of all the paper!
When will this happen?
Monday April 14th we will begin the process of transitioning in store. A team from PioneerRx will be on site for that entire week for staff training and adjusting system settings.
What have we done to prepare for a smooth transition?
We are currently preparing our records for the system transfer and doing a little spring cleaning to ensure that all your vital information is properly documented. We are also training in a simulated environment to familiarize ourselves with the new system so we can hit the ground running.
What can you do to help us?
- Update your address and phone number on file.
- Check your meds at home. We expect to have some delays in our fill times for both new prescriptions and refills. If you are concerned about having your medication refills interrupted, please let us know so we can work on early refills.
- Please have patience with us as we transition. New systems often have kinks to work out, and while we are doing our best to prepare for the change inevitably there will be frustrations.
